I have found this  man is an excellent and honest auto mechanic in my experience of perhaps 6 years with him. His prices are right, his work excellent and his actions  limited to what you ask for and what is truly needed. I have never found him to expand  repairs unnecessarily to create a higher bill.   He works alone out of his corner home with a large two bay  garage in back, so he has low overhead costs. With him, I don't wait in line or on middle-men order-taker who may not translate the customer's words fully so the mechanic can do the job most efficiently.  — Fred Paine

Providers of canoes, paddles & life vests at $22-$30 per day + some camping equuipment if wanted.   Simple but practical, efficient service.  A few kayaks to rent.  The drop-you off, pick-you-up-service is wll thought out, can handle 6 canoes at once.  You can canoe for 2 hours, 4 or more, overnight or for days, camping by the mostly-isolated river. They sell used aluminum canoes at lower prices end of season. Many miles out from Huntersville (about an hour north of Cinosam) Be sure to get very detailed directions; it is easy to get lost by car.  Use rest rooms in Huntersville.  — Fred Paine

Johnson Rentals

They rent machinery, tools, trailers, chain saws, digging & tree-cutting equipment, etc. These folks have been reliable for many years.  Reasonable rates, good service, knowledgable staff.  Though fully entitled to their fees, recently Johnsons's has been remakably generous in charging nothing for  rentals in Cinosam (a) when the machine was unused owing to worker preference and (b) when the rented item, though used,was not able to achieve the purpose desired (through no fault of Johnson's or the equipment).  We find that truly exceptional in today's business world. — Fred Paine
